The South Grenville Rangers have released their finalized roster of skaters who will lace up for the franchise’s inaugural season.
After weeks of hard practice and difficult decisions the Rangers front office have picked the 14 forwards, seven defensemen and two net-minders who will represent the team this season. The team is packed with local talent, featuring six players from Prescott, three from Brockville and two from Cardinal. The skaters from Prescott are Cody Dietschweiler, Kris Laushway, Devan Miller, Carson Pickup, Brody Ranger and Simon Watt. On paper the team looks like they have a good mix of size and speed, with seven players standing 6’1 or taller.
The Ranger’s season will start on September 23rd during the NCJHL Showcase. South Grenville will be in Gatineau to take on the Hull-Volant at 6:00pm. The team’s first game at The Leo is on October 7th when they will host the Papineau Vikings.
The complete roster is in the photo above, although Sam Bell will be wearing 19 and not 10.
