Brockville General Hospital has released the results of their 10th Annual ATV Charity Poker Run.
The poker run took place on August 26th and raised over $7200 for the hospital’s Palliative Care Program. There were 265 ATV riders registered in the event and funds were raised through registration fees, selling poker hands and proceeds from an on-site barbeque. Riders travelled over 50km of trails, which were provided by around 12 local land owners.
The event has been organized by the Kroot family for more than ten years and, according to representatives with BGH, has raised around $40,000 for various charities throughout those years. For the past four years the proceeds have gone to supporting the Palliative Care Program at BGH.
