It’s holiday season, and that means it is scam season. Fraudsters are hard at work coming up with new and creative ways to relieve you of your hard-earned cash.
Current scams being reported include a caller posing as a family member who is in trouble and in desperate need of cash, or a special delivery that requires a service charge upon receipt. In all cases, the scammer is looking for your banking or credit card information. If anything seems not quite right, take the time to check it out. If you are contacted by a scammer, report it to police.
