South Grenville Rangers draw close to franchise’s first game

Training camp is coming to an end and the rink is heating up as the South Grenville Rangers prepare for their first ever season.

The Rangers will have another practice tonight before a set of exhibition games on the weekend, one against Winchester and one against Gananoque. While the season hasn’t started yet, some potential Rangers are already impressing in exhibition action. The Rangers say Devon Burns and Hayden Sayeau both laced up for the Westport Rideaus against the Brockville Tikis in an exhibition game earlier this week. Both players found themselves on the score sheet with Sayeau scoring once and Burns finding the back of the net twice while adding an assist for good measure.

The Rangers are hoping to have their roster set when they take the ice at The Leo in Prescott on September 16th for an exhibition game with the North Dundas Rockets.
