The deadline to pay the second installment of your taxes is fast approaching.
The deadline for the second installment of taxes for the Town of Prescott is August 31st. According the officials with the Taxation Department all payments received late are subject to a penalty. If taxes have not been paid to the town by September 1st a 1.25 per cent charge is added to the outstanding balance. This charge is added on the first of every month until the bill has been paid.
