Motorcycles will be roaring for the dogs.
The 29th Annual Guide Dog Ride is set for Sunday, September 10th. It supports the Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind which has its National Training Centre in Manotick.
The organization has provided more than 825 professionally trained guide dogs to Canadians who are visually impaired from coast to coast.
Cost for the event is $25 in advance or $30 per person if you register on site. The event will kick off from the training centre at 4120 Rideau Valley Drive North and features a 180 kilometer ride through Eastern Ontario. Admission includes the ride, prizes, a barbecue, and a chance to tour the kennels at the training centre.
