Brockville General Hospital’s Pediatric program has new toys

Brockville General Hospital is sending out thanks after being gifted a number of toys.

The Brockville General Hospital’s Pediatric Community Program has been given a number of new children’s toys by the Starlight Children’s Foundation of Canada. Ilona Thomas, the Speech and Language Therapist with the Pediatric Community Program, says learning through play is a concept used in education and psychology, through play children can learn to make sense of the world around them while developing valuable life skills.

The Starlight Children’s Foundation of Canada is part of Starlight’s global network, which serves seriously ill children and their families by partnering with over 160 healthcare facilities. Starlight has become a leading global charity over the last 25 years, working with experts to improve the life and health of children around the world.
