The team pushing Prescott’s Recreational Master Plan has been picked

The Town of Prescott have picked the group that will be helping forward their Recreation Master Plan.

At last night’s Town Council meeting the staff voted to direct Chief Administrative Officer Pierre Mercier to enter into an agreement with Sierra Planning and Management. The closing date for submissions was July 11th. Offers were evaluated based on 5 criteria: 25 per cent for a creative and innovative approach, 25 per cent for team experience and qualifications, 20 per cent for demonstrating understanding of the project, 20 per cent for completeness and thoughtfulness of their submission and finally 10 per cent for the fee structure and timeframe of completion.

Sierra Planning and Management’s proposal was not only the cheapest but also scored highest on the criteria outlined above. The intention of the Recreation Master Plan is to provide guidance on park planning, facility development, facility re-development and expansion. They will also help delivery programs and services, while making recommendations about resources the town may want to invest in.
