Driver facing stunt driving charge

The OPP is once again reminding people to slow down after clocking a vehicle travelling way over the speed limit.

Stormont Dundas and Glengarry OPP says officers stopped a vehicle on Tuesday on Highway 401 in South Dundas. Officers clocked the vehicle at 171 kilometers per hour.

The 46-year-old Guelph man is facing a charge of stunt driving. His license was seized and his vehicle was also impounded for seven days.

The OPP says people continue to put themselves at risk while driving. Police remind drivers to follow speed limits and not get distracted while behind the wheel.

The OPP also reminds the public to report unsafe driving if they see it happening.
