While the St. Lawrence Shakespeare Festival gets ready to wind down its two main plays August 12th, it’s preparing a third show for one week only.
Antony & Cleopatra and The Three Musketeers come to an end at the end of next week. However, a special production called The Complete Works of Shakespeare, Abridged will be performed at the festival from August 15th to the 20th at the outdoor amphitheatre.
This is the first time in its 15-year history that the festival has added a third production. Festival Artistic Director Rona Waddington says that three actors parody Shakespeare’s plays in much shorter, merged versions.
