UPDATE: The victim has been identified by Ottawa Police as Esmail Sharifi. Police say that because the scene is so large, officers continue to search it and process it today.
A man is dead after a shooting in Ottawa’s west end.
Ottawa Police says the shooting happened around 9:30pm last night on Iris Street.
The 36-year-old man died after being transported to hospital.
