One man is dead after a workplace accident in Augusta Township.
Yesterday at approximately 4:00pm the Grenville County OPP were called to a workplace accident at a gravel pit on McCully Road. According to police a crane at the water’s edge tipped and collapsed into the pond. The loan operator, a 77-year-old man from Lakefield, was transported to hospital where he was declared deceased.
The Ontario Ministry of Labour was notified about the incident and the investigation continues.
