The Champions for Kids Foundation Golf Tournament has raised $30,000.
The golf tournament took place last week at Smuggler’s Glen Golf Course near Gananoque. Nearly 80 golfers attended the event.
Champions for Kids Foundation was formed in 2008 to discreetly help Upper Canada District School Board children and their families. The main focus is to alleviate the costs to allow children to participate in sports, arts and other fun activities outside of school. It also helps cover minor medical expenses such as eyeglasses, provides gas cards to parents with a child in the hospital, and helps purchase winter coats for children in need.
C4K President David Morrison says they’re extremely pleased with the support received this year from players and many businesses that made the tournament a success.
