An Ottawa man was arrested in Brockville after being found in possession of stolen property.
Brockville Police say they were called to a South-end residence shortly after 6:00AM by a homeowner claiming there was a man in her garage. The man fled before officers arrived on the scene but the homeowner said there was a kayak missing. According to police while they were patrolling the area a short time later they located a man carrying the missing kayak. After a short foot pursuit police successfully took the man in to custody for Possession of Stolen Property.
The 25-year-old accused was also found to be on court ordered conditions, including a curfew. Police say they also charged the man with breach of probation and held him in custody pending a bail hearing.
