Catholic District School Board announce administrative changes

The Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario has announced their administrative appointments for the 2017-2018 school year.

This year’s appointments consist of five new administrators and nine transferring between schools. Of the five new appointments two are principals and three are becoming vice-principals. Dawn Finnegan will be making the move from vice-principal to acting-principal at St. Michael Catholic High School in Kemptville while Danny Palumbo will go from being vice-principal to principal at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic High School in Russell. St. Michael Catholic High School will also be getting a new vice-principal with Anne Leach making the move from teaching to administration. The other two first time vice-principals are Nancy McIntrye at Mother Teresa Catholic School in Russell and Scott Renaud at St. Mark Catholic School in Prescott.

This year there will be nine administrators, six principals and three vice-principals, changing locations. At St. Mary Catholic High School in Brockville Christa Monds will go from acting vice-principal to vice-principal, while Ron Papps makes the same move at Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School in Cornwall. Dean Doucette will go from being vice-principal at Mother Teresa Catholic School to vice-principal at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School.

Of the six principals changing locations five will be switching places with other transfers. Erin Merkley will be coming back from maternity leave to take over Sacred Heart Catholic School in Cornwall. This moves Shannon McDougald from Sacred Heart Catholic School to Immaculate Conception Catholic School, which is also located in Cornwall. To make room at Immaculate Conception Catholic School Beverley Bellefeuille is transferring to St. Andrew’s Catholic School in St. Andrews. Stacey Krol will leave St. Andrew’s for Cornwall’s Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School. This makes it possible for Renee Rozon to transfer from Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School to St. Joseph Catholic Secondary School in Cornwall. Finally Donna Koekkoek will be going from St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic High School to Notre Dame Catholic High School in Carleton Place.
