Brockville Police Services say they have found the person responsible for a recent hit and run.
At approximately 6:00 PM on Monday June 5th police say they received multiple calls about a motor vehicle collision where the driver fled the scene. According to police the collision occurred when a vehicle turned from East bound on King Street West to North bound on Buell Street at high speed.
The suspect vehicle was a small, silver Volkswagon police say lost control and struck a parked vehicle, causing significant damage to both vehicles. Shortly after the crash police say they located the suspect’s car in the South East area of the city and placed the 20-year-old male under arrest.
Police say they believe alcohol was a factor but the accused refused to provide a breath sample. According to police the man has been charged with dangerous driving, failing to remain at the scene and refusing to provide a breath sample.
