New LED lighting is being installed across the Town of Prescott. The contractor started Monday on Edward Street so that it will be ready for Friday’s Christmas parade. Most of the lights on that street have now been replaced with the new more efficient lights.
In a Facebook post on Monday, Mayor Brett Todd said phase one should be finished in under three weeks. Phase two of the project along Water Street and the harbour will happen early next year. Todd says they expect to have the lights paid off in about seven years.
