Hundreds of visitors are expected to cheer on women in the Eighth Annual TD Canada Trust Women’s Hockey Tournament in support of Girls Inc.
The event will take place Friday, March 31st to Sunday, April 2nd at the Brockville Memorial Civic Centre. Over 200 women are expected to participate on the ice with other events happening throughout the weekend. Some of those events include a raffle, vendor fair, and a dance Saturday night.
Girls Inc. Events Coordinator Kelly Cole says the funds will be used to help run the programs at the organization. Cole says that there’s many costs for things like their school programming and March Break camps.
