Each November, the Brockville and District Hospital Foundation launches an Annual Appeal campaign to support equipment needs for Brockville General Hospital. This year’s target of $200,000 is to purchase a digital portable x-ray machine.
The new equipment will reduce the patient’s wait time for x-ray results; provide immediate viewing of x-rays by the ordering physician; and provide timely care by staff with up-to-date technology.

It is heavy for technicians to transport and cumbersome when scanning patients. In 2014-2015, approximately 150 patients per month were serviced using the present portable x-ray machine.
