Student Transportation of Eastern Ontario, which handles school buses for both the private and public school boards in Leeds Grenville, is gearing up for winter. STEO has sent out letters to parents, explaining the process for issuing bus cancellations.
Staff consults with a team of contractors who check area roads at 4:30am if bad weather is expected. If snow or freezing rain is forecast to continue, STEO may make the call to cancel buses. We will have your bus cancellations live on the air, but you can also check online at www.steo.ca.
STEO realizes it is inconvenient for families when buses are cancelled for the day, but student safety comes first.
