Counsellors will come together on the odd Tuesday night tonight to have their monthly council meeting, thanks to the holiday Monday yesterday.
Of the items on the agenda, the town is set to receive funding help from the province to the tune of $15,000 for this summer’s Loyalist Days. This year’s event will run from August 17th to 20th.
In keeping with the heritage theme, Tourism and Heritage Counsellor Fraser Laschinger will also be making a presentation on Ontario Heritage Week.
Council also looks set to accept their new meeting time change, moving all future start times up to 6:30pm, rather than 7:00pm. The first code of conduct looks like it will finally be adopted as well after a number of changes over the previous weeks.
