Winchester Hospital Receives $190K Donation

The Winchester District Memorial Hospital has a new portable x-ray machine because of the hospital’s auxiliary.

The auxiliary donated over $190,000 to make the purchase possible. That machine has some of the latest technology on board and allows sick patients to be x-rayed at their room instead of travelling to the department for the tests. The unit also provides instant images for physicians.

Team Leader Shirley Rose says they’re grateful to the volunteers.

The old portable x-ray machine was donated to Haiti.
