On Friday, The Upper Canada District School Board reached a tentative agreement with the local bargaining unit of the Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation.
This local settlement, when ratified by both parties, will end the bargaining process for secondary teachers and add to the agreement on provincial issues that was reached in August. Terms of the settlement will remain confidential until ratified by both parties.
In addition to OSSTF teachers, the Upper Canada District School Board has four other bargaining units representing elementary teachers, occasional teachers and support staff. Bargaining on local issues for these other unions is ongoing.
