MP Brown Working on National Historic Sites Bill

MP Gord Brown is hoping to give National Historic Sites a hand up.  On Tuesday, Brown introduced a Private Member’s Bill that would allow National Historic Sites operated by the federal government to issue charitable receipts for donations to be used for reconstruction work.  This would allow individuals and corporations to donate money and receive a tax receipt.  Brown says that currently, donations of land can be made for conservation purposes and tax receipts are issued.  Brown believes historical sites need more help and believes this bill will entice more donations if it is made into law.
