After widespread technical issues yesterday’s Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test was cancelled after Grade 10 students across the province were not able to log in.
It was the first time the test was offered online and was supposed to be operational at 10am. However by 11:30am a statement posted to the EQAO’s website said “We regret to inform you that we have cancelled today’s assessment”.
Many schools cancelled earlier than the official cut off, in an attempt to salvage class time for the day. Richard Jones, director of assessment for the EQAO told the CBC yesterday that The EQAO and the vendor contracted to run the online system are working to determine exactly what happened.
