Some low-income earners could find relief when it comes to rental costs. The United Counties of Leeds and Grenville has purchased two locations on Prescott Street which will have eight rent-geared-to-income units. Warden David Gordon says it’s a project he’s been working on for a while.
Residents will be able to apply through Leeds and Grenville Social Services when the units become available. Gordon says he expects they will be available in the first half of next year.
