Police reminding drivers to share the road with farm machinery

Drivers are being reminded that they need to share the road with farm equipment.

It follows a three-vehicle collision on County Road 4 in Prince Edward County earlier this month.

Police say two vehicles attempted to pass a slow-moving farm tractor and collided.

No injuries were reported but a 52-year-old woman was charged with careless driving.

With farm equipment continuing to travel on rural roads, drivers are reminded to slow down, maintain a safe following distance, and only pass when it is legal and safe to do so.

Police say a little patience can prevent a serious collision.
