Kemptville’s first Oktoberfest to be held early next month

Live entertainment, games, food and dancing.

The organizers behind Kempsville’s first ever Oktoberfest say all of those will be a part of the celebration taking place at the W.B. George Centre on Oct. 3.

The event is a coordinated effort between J.A.M. Productions and 4 Degrees Brewing and Distilling with the 19 and over event running on the Saturday from noon to 12 a.m.

Three bands are performing, headlined by the Mudmen, as well as axe throwing, keg tossing, stein stacking, barrel rolling, cornhole and trivia.

4 Degrees Brewing and Distilling co-owner Daren Givoque tells the Vista Radio Newsroom that they are hoping the festival is the first of many.

“Help us build for the future to make it into a two- or three-day event because there’s been a small void in entertainment in the area in the last few years and we are trying to fill that.”

A free shuttle will leave the W.B. George Centre at 6 p.m., 9 p.m. and 12 a.m., with drop-off available anywhere in North Grenville.

More information on tickets and the event can be found on the 4 Degrees website.
