One person is dead after a crash on Highway 401 near Gananoque. The OPP continues to investigate this morning’s crash. It happened west of Thousand Islands Bridge exit. Police say they believe a westbound transport struck a stationary safety truck. Several fire departments were on scene because the transport had caught on fire. The eastbound lanes have reopened but the westbound lanes are still closed while the investigation continues. There are no other details regarding the person who was killed.
