The proposed budget for the Upper Canada District School Board is receiving a passing grade.
Chief Business Officer Jeremy Hobbs told trustees this week that the budget includes projected revenues of $473.1 million and expenses of $472.7 million which leaves a $400,000 surplus.
The proposed 2026-27 UCDSB budget also includes $67.6 million in special education funding, $3.4 million in Indigenous education funding, and $3.1 million for literacy and numeracy supports.
Hobbs added that the capital budget includes $92.9 million in planned investments along with $61.2 million for upgrades across other UCDSB schools.
The draft budget will now go to the Ministry of Education for final approval.
