Roadside spraying to start in Leeds and Grenville in a few weeks

Roadside spraying for wild parsnip and noxious weeds is scheduled to begin later this month in our region.

The United Counties of Leeds and Grenville says it’s being done by Wagar and Corput Weed Control Inc. and will start on May 21, weather permitting.

Areas included in the spraying are Edwardsburgh Cardinal, Merrickville-Wolford and North Grenville.

The pesticides that will be used are in accordance with public health and safety.

It’s expected the spraying will take place until June 21.

Residents who don’t want their homes included can post “no spray” signs in the front of their property.
