Busy week for Clark as MPPs return to Queen’s Park

MPPs are back at Queen’s Park for the first time in more than three months, but Steve Clarke said he was as busy as ever during the extended winter break.

The Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes MPP told MyKemptvilleNow that six cabinet ministers have visited the riding so far this year, providing an opportunity to show that local projects and initiatives are paying off.

Clarke added that $50 million has been invested in provincial projects so far this year and the area is well on its way to the $230 million the MPP said would be invested in 2026.

It’s also budget week at Queen’s Park and Clark said residents will see a continuation of Conservative priorities for the riding and province, including key infrastructure improvements, keeping jobs in Canada even with tariff threats and continued work with the federal government.

Premier Doug Ford has said the theme of the budget this year is protecting the economy.

Finance Minister Peter Bethlenfalvy is expected to deliver the budget on Thursday.
