Merrickville-Wolford residents are getting some help paying for the reconstruction of a village street.
Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes MPP Steve Clark announced Wednesday morning that the province is putting just over $2.55 million towards building water and wastewater infrastructure.
Merrickville-Wolford Mayor Michael Cameron says the funding will go to help pay for part of the Wellington Street West reconstruction project.
That work includes pavement, water line and sanitary sewer upgrades.
It’s expected the improvements will be in place come the fall.
