A North Grenville woman and a South Dundas Township man each face a raft of charges after police seized drugs and firearms.

The OPP’s East Region Community Street Crime Unit say they began an investigation into drug trafficking in the area this fall which resulted in a search warrant being executed at a residence on Deeks Road in South Dundas Township last Thursday.

Police say two people were taken into custody with officers seizing approximately 450 grams of suspected meth, nearly 60 grams of suspected cocaine and more than 70 pills of suspected hydromorphone.

They also seized a modified and loaded .22 calibre rifle, a loaded shot gun, and several other firearms, as well as items associated with drug trafficking and nearly $2,000 in cash.

A 42-year-old male and a 30-year-old female both face charges and remain in custody with upcoming court appearances scheduled in Cornwall.
