A British Columbia resident faces charges after a major drug bust on Highway 401 near Brockville.
The OPP Highway Safety Division says an officer saw a transport truck emitting an excessive amount of smoke while travelling on the highway on Wednesday morning.
Police say the truck was stopped, and suspected drugs were observed inside the cabin.
They say approximately 300 to 400 capsules containing suspected drugs were seized and charges including operation while impaired, two counts of possession of a Schedule I substance and unreasonable smoke were laid.
The accused was held in custody with their driver’s licence suspended for 90 days, and the transport truck towed and impounded for seven days.
