There’s good news coming to a gas pump near you before the work week is out.
Canadians for Affordable Energy President Dan McTeague says prices will drop by as much as ten cents a litre come Friday.
He says that’s because stations are switching to their winter blend, which is easier to produce, from their summer blends.
McTeague tells Moose FM that stations are required to make the change.
“From September to April, the winter months, as the weather cools we put butane in gasoline so that you get a better ignition. It functions much better in colder weather.”
McTeague adds most stations across Ontario will see the price drop come into effect.
