A festival taking place this weekend is celebrating sobriety while showcasing local non-alcoholic options.
ArBru, a brewpub located in Mallorytown, is hosting their second Soberfest on Saturday and organizers say it’s the only sober beer festival in the 1000 Islands.
Attendees can enjoy non-alcoholic beers, ciders and kombuchas as well as coffees with live music and games also taking place.
ArBru President Phil Audet tells Moose FM that sober options are increasingly becoming more popular.
“We’re seeing double digit growth in that category as well. People are simply drinking less and they are looking for alternatives or they are still drinking but they are sort of curious about non-alcoholic beverages as well.”
The festival runs from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the brewery on Quabbin Road.
