Leeds County OPP say a 40-year-old man faces 22 charges in connection to an arson case in the Tincap area.
Police responded to a structure fire shortly after 5 a.m. July 20 at an single-family home.
They say no one was home at the time and the fire led to an extensive investigation which resulted in a search warrant being executed at a property on County Road 7 near Jasper.
Officers seized a number of items including a semi-automatic rifle, a high-capacity magazine and ammunition, body armour and brass knuckles and drugs.
As a result of the investigation, Graham Drew from Jasper faces a raft of charges including arson, causing an explosion likely to cause bodily harm, death or serious damage to property and making or possessing explosives for unlawful purpose.
He has a bail hearing scheduled for Thursday in Brockville.
