All three fire departments attend to Augusta house fire

A home on McIntosh Road in Augusta Township was damaged by fire Sunday afternoon. No one was injured in the fire, which happened in the basement of the house. The cause of the fire has not been determined. Augusta Fire Chief Rob Bowman says firefighting services came from Prescott, Augusta and Edwardsburgh/Cardinal for this incident, due to the location of the home and the need for shared firefighting equipment, such as a tanker and pumper truck.

Damage is estimated at $150,000 and the fire is not being treated as suspicious.
