Prescott Fire Department Deputy Chief Robert Gilmour is calling it a career after forty years.
Department members gathered earlier this week to celebrate Gilmour and other members for their service to the community.
Fire Chief Renny Rayner was also recognized for his 35 years of service while firefighter John Houston was honored for 30 years.
Paul Arcand has been appointed the new deputy chief after serving as a volunteer member of the department for 37 Years.
Department officials say Arcand brings a vast amount of experience in the fire service to his new role.
