Ribbon cutting to be held for new bench at Prescott’s Waterfront Dive Site

Diver safety is behind a new bench at Prescott’s Waterfront Dive Site.

The Town of Prescott and the Ottawa chapter of Save Ontario Shipwrecks, a provincial heritage organization, are holding a ribbon cutting for the new bench on Saturday.

Officials say the custom-designed bench was made possible through a generous partnership between the town and SOS Ottawa, supporting both diver safety and visitor comfort at the site.

They add that it reflects the shared commitment to enhancing the diving experience along the St. Lawrence River and promoting Prescott tourism and heritage.

The ceremony starts at 11 a.m. at the site on Centre Street South.
