Kemptville District Hospital celebrates grand opening of CT scanner suite

It’s being called the culmination of extraordinary efforts spanning several years.

Kemptville District Hospital celebrated the grand opening of its Tallman Family CT Scanner Suite on Wednesday afternoon with a ribbon cutting, tours of the new suite and the unveiling of the Crossroads Campaign donor wall.

Funds for the CT Scanner, which has performed almost 1,000 scans since it opened in mid-April, were provided by the Kemptville District Hospital Foundation which raised $2.3 million through its Crossroads Campaign, the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville and the Municipality of North Grenville.

KDH CEO Frank J. Vassallo tells Moose FM that the CT scanner suite is a game changer for healthcare in our region.

“The existence of the CT scanner will enable us to bring other programs and services to the community that are reliant on a CT Scanner and now we’ll be able to have those conversations.”

Since opening in mid-April, the CT Scanner has performed almost 1,000 scans.
