Police say a man in his forties is dead after a large tree fell on a vehicle and tent at a Mallorytown campground.
Leeds County OPP say they received a report shortly after 6 a.m. Sunday that the tree had fallen.
First responders went to the campground and found the man from Ottawa deceased in a tent.
He was with a 10-year-old child who suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
A post mortem examination will be conducted and an investigation into what happened continues.
