It’s your chance to help out one of the region’s most important medical institutions.
The 42nd Annual Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario Telethon takes place Saturday raising funds for the facility that provides care for young people not only locally but from across Canada.
Last year’s telethon saw $720,600 raised during its two week campaign and you can make your donation online on the CHEO Foundation website leading up to and during the telethon which takes place from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
CHEO Foundation President Steve Read tells Moose FM that the telethon shows off what the hospital is all about.
“It also gives a chance to shine the spotlight on some of the amazing kids that we serve and their families and to bring the viewers and listeners inside CHEO somewhat.”
CHEO first opened its doors in 1974 and the telethon has been held for close to 50 years.
