Fort Wellington National Historic Site in Prescott is open for the season.
However, after a small fire in the site’s visitor centre earlier this spring, the centre will be closed for the summer while the exhibits, office space, and ductwork are all properly cleaned and repaired where necessary.
Access to the site isn’t affected and visitors can come tour the area from now through Thanksgiving weekend. A temporary welcome kiosk has been installed adjacent to the parking area, and washrooms are still accessible via the visitor centre’s back entrance.
You can visit Fort Wellington’s website to see its daily hours of operation.
