The Rideau Valley Conservation Authority says we are now in a “Severe Drought”. The conservation authority says the drought level is based on the lack of rain over the last 30 days. As of yesterday, no rain had been recorded at the Ottawa Airport since July 25th. Some rain had been recorded in other locations but it wasn’t enough to restore the deficit the area has seen. Today we’re expecting some much-needed rain in the forecast.
