Rideau Valley Conservation Authority says we continue to see a “Moderate Drought”

The drought condition continues to affect water levels in the Rideau watershed. Rideau Valley Conservation Authority released details about the water level decline in the watershed. RVCA says conditions place the area in a “Moderate Drought”. They say over the course of the last 90 days we’ve seen less than 60% of the rain we would normally see over that time period. RVCA also pointed out that the Rideau Canal reservoir lakes are 30 to 40 centimeters below what is typical at this time of year.
