South Nation Conservation has issued a flood watch statement in advance of this weekend`s weather which could bring snow, freezing rain and rain.
Officials say the melting snow and ice, along with the rain, could result in increased water levels and flows in local streams and rivers.
While widespread flooding is not anticipated, fast flowing water and flooding of low-lying areas, floodplains, and areas with poor drainage is still possible.
Residents in flood prone or low-lying areas, historically susceptible to flooding, should take the necessary precautions to protect their property.
