Prescott Mayor Gauri Shankar says the more they can fill up the town’s downtown core and occupy empty spaces the better it will be for everyone.
That’s because, Shankar says, it leads to more retail exposure for businesses that are located downtown.
Shankar says by following the town’s community improvement plan, they have been able to generate more apartments and condos for people to live in.
He adds that while there used to be a lot of empty space downtown, there’s only a handful of places looking for tenants now.
