Prescott is set to be swept up with hockey fever over the next few days.
The 2025 Leo Boivin U18 AAA Showcase Tournament begins on Thursday at the Alaine Chartrand Community Centre marking the 51st year the event is being held.
Named after former National Hockey League player and area resident Leo Boivin, the tournament features teams from near and far and is a fundraiser for South Grenville Minor Hockey.
Vicki Sargeant is the chairperson for the event and she tells Moose FM one of the highlights is the opening ceremony.
“Each team will carry their banner, come out onto the ice, we will have our dignitaries there with a few speeches.”
